More injury woe for Petit

Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit faces another month on the sidelines after today suffering a setback on his knee injury.

The Frenchman misses Sunday’s Barclaycard Premiership date with Newcastle at Stamford Bridge, as do Marcel Desailly, Celestine Babayaro and Mario Stanic.

Centre-back and captain Desailly is expected to return from his hip problem for the game against Southampton on November 22.

That is also the scheduled comeback for full-back Babayaro (groin) and midfielder Stanic (knee).
