Waterford United 2, UCD 2

Robert McAuley missed a late penalty as UCD threw away another two invaluable points.

McAuley's poorly struck 88th minute spot kick was saved by Pat Holden as UCD dropped two more points late on.

The sides swapped goal in an explosive opening seven minutes.

The Blues were in front within 45 seconds when Alan Reilly crossed low for Vinny Sullivan to tap home from just two yards out.

College levelled six minutes later when Robert McAuley's penalty squirmed under the body of keeper Pat Holden after skipper John Frost handled an Alan Cawley corner.

Frost then gave UCD the lead on 35 minutes when heading a Cawley corner into his own net.

But the impressive Fenn set up substitute Kevin Waters whose deflected shot found the net for Blues' equaliser on 70 minutes.
