Waterford sunk by late own goal

Waterford had Mark Clifford sent off and then conceded an own goal two minutes from time.

A streaker and that sending off was all the crowd had to warm them in a dour first half.

Midfielder Clifford got his red card on 37 minutes for a bad challenge on St Pat's Paul Donnelly.

The only goal of a dreadfully poor game then came on 88 minutes when Ger McLoughlin turned a cross from Gary McPhee into his own net.
