Drogheda leapfrog Derry with win
Waterford United 0 Drogheda United 2
Strikes from Gary Cronin and Andy Myler ended Drogheda's goal famine as they leapfrogged out of the bottom two with Paul Doolin's first win in ten games.
Man-of-the-match Cronin gave Drogheda their deserved lead on 63 minutes when drilling home a left-footer after Don Tierney's superb pass played him through.
The second goal came four minutes from time when substitute Blues' keeper Pat Holden failed to hold a shot from Declan O'Brien and Myler scooped home the rebound.
