Stuttgart moved to the top of Group E after a 2-0 win at home to Panathinaikos.

The German side went for the Greeks from the first whistle, mindful of their poor form away from home in the competition.

Hungarian international Imre Szabics set them on their way in the 13th minute to ease the tension in the ground.
