League pays tribute to Livingstone

The chairman of the eircom League has paid tribute to Charles Mbabazi Livingstone, who has retired from soccer.

Brendan Dillon said of the St Patrick's Athletic player: "It was a shock to learn that Charles has been forced to retire at such a young age.

"He was a talented player who added both excitement and flair to the eircom League since his debut in early 2001.

"He will be missed not only by those connected with St Patrick's Athletic but by all eircom League supporters.

"I and all the eircom League officials and staff would like to wish Charles and his family every success for the future."
