Pleat optimistic Kanoute injury not serious

Tottenham caretaker-manager David Pleat is optimistic striker Frederic Kanoute did not break an ankle in yesterday’s 2-1 victory at Leicester.

The French striker grabbed Spurs’ winner but then had to be carried off on a stretcher following a heavy challenge in the final minutes of the game.
