Couto out for Lazio against Chelsea

A head injury suffered by Lazio defender Fernando Couto against AC Milan has knocked him out of Champions League encounter at Chelsea.

The Portuguese international was substituted at half-time of Lazio’s 1-0 defeat at the San Siro on Sunday.

After being examined in hospital, doctors gave him the all-clear to return to Rome but Couto isn’t travelling to London with the Biancoceleste team for Wednesday’s game as a precaution.
