Quinn extends West Ham deal
West Ham have extended Newcastle left-back Wayne Quinn’s loan spell until the end of the season.
Quinn arrived at Upton Park last month as cover for Rufus Brevett, who is still on the long-term injured list.
But the 26-year-old will now have the chance to impress incoming manager Alan Pardew into giving him a permanent deal next summer, when he is out of contract.
Caretaker manager Trevor Brooking told the official club website, www.whufc.com: “We had to make a decision on Wayne because his loan finished at the weekend.
“He has a good incentive now because he is in the last year of his contract at Newcastle so it is up to him to show his worth in the weeks ahead.”
The Hammers will make a decision on fellow loan signing Niclas Alexandersson of Everton when his loan expires this weekend.
