Cork City 2 Waterford United 2

Cork City 2 Waterford United 2

An own goal from skipper Dan Murray three minutes into stoppage time deprived Cork of a third win on the spin.

Murray turned a cross from John Frost into his own net as Blues came from 2-0 down to snatch a point from a rousing Munster derby.

Greg O'Halloran scored his first and second goals of the season as City appeared to be on course for a hat-trick of wins.

O'Halloran hit his first on three minutes after Dan Connor had twice parried efforts for the Cork midfielder.

George O'Callaghan then set up O'Halloran to drill home his second from the edge of the area on 14 minutes.

Daryl Murphy then gave Blues hope when pulling a goal back on 55 minutes before they snatched a point at the death.
