McGeogh stripped of selection responsibilites

Waterford United have stripped manager Jimmy McGeogh of his sole responsibility for selecting the team.

The club announced yesterday that a three-man selection committee would be in charge of picking the team from now on.

The panel will be made up of McGeogh, assistant manager Giles Cheevers and under-21 assistant manager Richard O’Connor.

McGeogh has also been ordered not to speak to the media without the permission of Waterford’s board of directors.
