Newcastle and England will be without Jonathan Woodgate fox six weeks after he undergoes surgery to repair a double hernia.

Bobby Robson revealed the news after Newcastle's 5-0 win over NAC Breda in the Uefa Cup first round, first leg at St James' Park.
