Wimbledon have been granted permission by the Football League to begin playing home matches at the National Hockey Stadium.

Today’s verdict means the club’s first match in Milton Keynes will take place on September 27, when Burnley are the visitors.

The League this week carried out an inspection of the ground and granted clearance after satisfying themselves with Wimbledon’s tenancy agreement.
