Delap back for Saints

Republic of Ireland international Rory Delap returns to Southampton’s squad as former manager Dave Jones brings his Wolves team to St Mary’s Stadium tomorrow.

Delap, a record £4m (€5.7m) signing from Derby in July 2001, is available again after missing the last three weeks with a badly sprained ankle.

Midfielder Chris Marsden is also in contention to return to the starting line-up after making a full recovery from knee surgery.

But Latvian striker Marian Pahars is still sidelined by a groin strain while Ecuador international Agustin Delgado is out with a long-term back problem.

PROVISIONAL SQUAD: Jones, Dodd, Lundekvam, M Svensson, Le Saux, Fernandes, Oakley, Marsden, McCann, Phillips, Beattie, Ormerod, A Svensson, Delap, Telfer, Higginbotham, Prutton, Niemi.
