Chelsea winger Boudewijn Zenden has expressed an interest in joining French club Paris St Germain.

The Dutchman has seen his first-team options narrowed by the signings financed at Stamford Bridge by Russian oil billionaire Roman Abramovich.

Middlesbrough are already reported to be interested in the former PSV Eindhoven winger but PSG also appear keen to sign him.

Coach Vahid Halilhodzic yesterday completed the signing of Serbo-Montenegrin star Branko Boskovic from Red Star Belgrade on a four-year contract and he has turned his attention to the Holland international.

“PSG are a great team,” Zenden told French newspaper L’Equipe.

“I know that there needs to be a lot of work done to get PSG at the level that it deserves to be. For me it would be a great solution to come and help Paris.”

PSG are most likely to opt for a year-long loan with Zenden contracted to Chelsea for another two years.
