Gazza signs deal with UAE club
Paul Gascoigne will join United Arab Emirate's side Al Jazira later this year, according to the club's spokesman.
Gascoigne signed a provisional agreement with the Abu-Dhabi based club a few weeks ago in England.
The 36-year-old will officially join the club next month and make his debut in the first week of October.
Graeme Wilson declined to disclose the price tag for Gascoigne, who signed with Al Jazira after the departure George Weah.
"Gascoigne has got extraordinary talent and he has got a lot of mileage left on his legs," said Wilson.
"We have a young team and hopefully his experience will rub off on the side."
In a club press release, Gascoigne said he was "thrilled" to join the club. "Al Jazira is an ambitious club," he added.
Al Jazira, taken over a year ago by Sheik Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the son of the Emirates president, will unveil a new $20m (€18m) grandstand in October. The stadium will have capacity of 25,000 and will be one of the most modern soccer venues in the Middle East.
