Di Canio doubt for opener

Paolo di Canio’s infamous temperament will face its first Charlton test if manager Alan Curbishley decides to do without his newly-signed Italian star in the starting line-up for Sunday’s Premiership opener against Manchester City at The Valley.

The former West Ham midfielder, 35, is desperate to get into action for his new club following his signing on Monday.
