Coyle salvages point for Derry

Liam Coyle, who else?, salvaged a point for Derry with a late penalty.

In a tight game, Rovers thought they had won it when Shane Robinson drove home following a corner in the 80th minute.

But just four minutes from time Gary Beckett was bundled over by Stephen McGuinness and Coyle, the coolest man in the Brandywell, shot past Barry Ryan from the spot.

Derry had slightly the better of the first half but it was Rovers who missed the best chance when Tony Grant somehow shot wide after Glen Fitzpatrick hit a post.
