Domi set to join Leeds
Leeds are expected to complete the signing of left-back Didier Domi from Paris St Germain tomorrow.
Domi met with manager Peter Reid and United officials today and underwent a medical this afternoon.
Reid has been on the trail of the former Newcastle defender and made his move after PSG made it clear they would let the 25-year-old leave.
Birmingham had been linked with Domi last season, but now Reid is hoping to add the controversial full-back to his squad.
Reid told the club’s website, www.leedsunited.com: “It’s been a bit frustrating, but I’d like to think there will be two more arrivals.
“We do need an injection. I am hoping for a couple more new faces, because when we start I don’t want any sob stories against Newcastle.”
Reid has the option of playing Domi at full-back or on the left side of midfield.
But the player comes with a chequered history. Domi went AWOL during his time at St James’ Park and told the Magpies he no longer wished to play for them before re-joining PSG.
