Ban for Bosvelt
Manchester City midfielder Paul Bosvelt will miss the first two Premiership games of the season through suspension.
The ban stands even though he picked it up playing in Holland for Feyenoord.
He will miss up the opening day game at Charlton and their first home match against Portsmouth.
"Paul is carrying the suspension from last season when he was at Feyenoord," Keegan told the club's official website.
"There is nothing we can do about it, as the suspensions stand between countries."
Bosvelt will, however, be eligible to play against TNS in the Uefa Cup on August 14.
