Ruud van Nistelrooy’s goal trail stopped off at the LA Coliseum as the free-scoring Dutchman set Manchester United on their way to victory over Mexican outfit Club America.

The prolific striker, a scorer 80 times already in just two seasons since his move from PSV Eindhoven, was branded priceless by United chief executive Peter Kenyon yesterday.
