Terry - Speculation has lifted squad

Chelsea captain John Terry insists the fevered speculation as to who is next on Claudio Ranieri’s shopping list is not an unsettling distraction ahead of the new season.

In fact, the England defender stated it was having quite the opposite effect and was helping to strengthen the spirit within the squad as they prepare first for Sunday’s Asia Cup final against Newcastle and then a season that promises much both at home and in Europe.
