Bates blasts City 'worms'

Chelsea chairman Ken Bates described investigators at the Financial Services Authority as “little worms” as they prepare to look into the share ownership of Chelsea Village plc prior to Roman Abramovich’s takeover.

The FSA revealed yesterday they would make enquiries into “the nature and status of certain shareholdings in Chelsea Village plc”.
