Argentinian striker Luciano Figueroa today agreed to join Birmingham on a five-year contract.

The 22-year-old, who joins the Blues from Rosario Central for a £2.5m (€3.5m) fee, completed a medical this morning and concluded talks with St Andrews managing director Karren Brady late this afternoon.

Figueroa – the subject of a failed bid by Rangers earlier this summer – was top scorer in his native land last season with 17 goals, including five in 7-2 win over Boca Juniors.
