'Chance of title with Reds', says Kewell

Harry Kewell believes joining Liverpool “represents a real chance of winning the title”.

Sky Sports News reported the Australia international’s comments in an interview with Channel 9 in which he is expected to confirm he will sign for the Merseysiders.

The announcement that the 24-year-old had signed for his boyhood heroes was to be made yesterday but was postponed because of a hitch over a loyalty payment from Leeds.

It is understood that his decision to spurn the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Arsenal will be broadcast on Australian TV at around 9.30am (Irish time) today.
