Pompey to unveil Sheringham

Portsmouth have announced a 3pm press conference today where they are expected to announce the signing of Teddy Sheringham.

The former England striker is understood to have agreed a one-year contract at Fratton Park after his release by Tottenham at the end of last season.

Sheringham has been linked with Barclaycard Premiership newcomers Portsmouth for some time and is believed to have travelled to the south coast today for a medical prior to his official unveiling later this afternoon.
