Cute Foxes sign Scimeca on a free

Leicester have signed Riccardo Scimeca on a free transfer from Nottingham Forest.

The 28-year-old former England B international and Under-21 captain turned down a new contract offer at First Division Forest and has become City’s third signing of the summer, following the acquisitions of Steve Howey and Paul Brooker.

Leicester boss Micky Adams told the club’s official website: “Riccardo was one of the driving forces on the pitch for Nottingham Forest last season.

“He is a versatile player who can operate in a variety of positions in midfield or defence.

“I have consistently said that we need to bring in several new faces to the football club and we are delighted we can add Riccardo to that list.”
