Former Rangers defender Arthur Numan believes the Ibrox team must qualify for the group stages of the Champions League to help ease the club’s debts.

The Light Blues posted a £52m (€73.7m) deficit last September, which is widely tipped to rise this year despite the manager Alex McLeish’s treble success.
