Falkirk sign Russell Latapy
Falkirk have snapped up Trinidad and Tobago international Russell Latapy on a one-year deal as a player-coach.
The former Hibernian and Rangers playmaker was released by Dundee United at the end of the season.
But ex-Easter Road team-mate John Hughes, who is now boss at Falkirk, swooped for the 34-year-old.
However, Latapy maintains the presence of Hughes was enough to encourage him to drop into the Bell’s First Division.
He said: “There are a number of reasons for my decision to sign, the major one being the ambition shown by the club and indeed John Hughes, who I know from my time at Hibs.”
