Ireland kept their slim hopes of UEFA Championship qualification slightly ajar with this win at Dalymount.

Graham Barrett shot Ireland in front on 43 minutes following good work by Stephen Kelly and Sean Thornton.

Cork City's John O'Flynn made it 2-0 on 53 minutes, though he looked offside as he ran through onto Thornton's pass.
