Damiano appointed Liverpool coach

Gerard Houllier will maintain Liverpool’s French connection by appointing former Fulham assistant manager Christian Damiano as his new first-team coach.

Houllier’s move comes just 24 hours after it was announced that another Frenchman, Jacques Crevoisier, would be leaving the coaching post for family reasons.
