Manchester United join in Finnan race

Manchester United could steal Steve Finnan from under the noses of Liverpool, according to a report in the Daily Star.

Alex Ferguson is to make a 'shock move' for the Fulham defender, who was expected to make a £4m (€5.5m) move to Anfield.

But now United appear to have joined the chase as Ferguson tries to increase his defensive options.
