Waterford stay second in the table as they had to settle for a point against draw specialists Longford.

Blues had the perfect start with the lead after nine minutes when Daryl Murphy drilled a shot past Stephen O'Brien from the edge of the area.

Town levelled six minutes later when Shane Barrett set up Eric Lavine whose shot beat Dan Connor with the help of a deflection off defender Thomas Hughes.
