Dacourt set to complete Italian job
Leeds have accepted Roma’s offer to make midfielder Olivier Dacourt’s loan move to the Serie A club permanent, according to the Italian side.
The 28-year-old Frenchman, who was off-loaded to the Giallorossi this year, has agreed personal terms on the switch.
Leeds, according to Roma, faxed through a confirmation fax yesterday.
Roma sporting director Franco Baldini said: “We received the fax from Leeds yesterday afternoon and it’s going to take a couple of days to ratify the transfer.”
Roma have not announced the fee but they have confirmed the amount is slightly lower than the £4.2m (€5.89m) originally wanted by Leeds.
