Gareth Barry has been called out of international exile and into the England squad to face South Africa.

The Aston Villa defender has been in the international wilderness for the past two and a half years but coach Sven-Goran Eriksson today drafted the 22-year-old into his squad for the friendly in Durban on Thursday.
