Kerr includes Glen Crowe in training squad
Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr has included Bohemians striker Glen Crowe in a squad of 23 players he has called in for a five-day training session in Dublin next week.
Crowe gained his second Irish senior cap in the friendly against Norway at Lansdowne Road on April 30 when he came on as a late second half substitute for Robbie Keane.
The squad will report to the manager on Tuesday, May 20 at the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links and will have daily training sessions until Sunday, May 25 in preparation for the European 2004 Championships qualifiers against Albania and Georgia at Lansdowne Road in June.
The Irish will meet Albania on Saturday, June 7, (3.00pm) and will face Georgia four days later on June 11 with a 7.30pm start.
Also included in the squad are Steven Reid (Millwall), Gary Doherty (Tottenham Hotspur), John O’Shea (Manchester United), Andy O’Brien (Newcastle United) and Kenny Cunningham (Birmingham City), all of whom missed the game against the Norwegians because of injury.
Missing from the list are Gary Kelly (Leeds United), Clinton Morrison (Birmingham City), Rory Delap (Southampton), Jason McAteer (Sunderland), Colin Healy (Celtic) and Nicky Colgan (Hibernian).
Kelly has asked not to be considered as he wishes to have the opportunity to recover from the injuries he has had during the season.
Morrison (shoulder), Delap (ankle ligaments) and McAteer (hamstring) are all injured while Healy and Colgan are still playing in Scotland.
