The Australian goalkeeper, who failed a drug test last year, could face a year-long ban from football if he fails to satisfactorily explain how cocaine was found in his sample.

The FA’s hearing opened today and is expected to conclude tomorrow.

Bosnich also has an appeal pending against the Premier League’s verdict that Chelsea’s decision to terminate his contract did not represent unfair dismissal.

That case is still to be heard by the Football League appeals committee.
