Inter Milan have qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League despite losing at the Mestalla Stadium to Valencia tonight.

Inter lost 2-1 on the night but progressed on away goals.

Inter took the lead after just four minutes through Christian Vieri but Pablo Aimar equalised for Valencia.

Valencia took the lead in the second half but despite serious pressure were unable to score again - and crashed out on away goals.

Final score: Valencia 2 Inter Milan 1 (2-2 on aggregate, Inter qualify on away goals).
