West Ham striker Jermain Defoe has insisted that there were no warning signs ahead of last night’s health scare for Glenn Roeder.

The Hammers boss had to be taken to hospital for tests after collapsing with chest pains following United’s 1-0 win over Middlesbrough at Upton Park yesterday.
