Bohs come from behind for draw

Longford Town 1, Bohemians 1 (full-time)

Robbie Doyle was Bohs' supersub with a brilliant free kick as the champions came from behind to earn a point.

Town handled the difficult, sandy pitch the better in the first half and took a deserved lead on 28 minutes.

Derek Coughlan hacked clear after Bohs' keeper Shay Kelly and Eric Lavine collided.

The ball broke for Brian Byrne 20 yards out and he shot into the roof of the net for a fine finish.

Bohs laid virtual siege to the Town goal for much of the second half and levelled on 74 minutes when Doyle curled a 25-yard free to the net after Darragh Sheridan had been penalised.

Meanwhile, there were also two draws in the First Division - Cobh Ramblers drew 1-1 with Sligo Rovers as Cummins equalised in the 64th minute after Sligo took an early lead.

Galway Utd and Athlone Town drew 2-2 in the other game.
