Leicester secure promotion to Premiership

Muzzy Izzet and Jordan Stewart put Leicester back into the Premiership return by scoring first-half goals against Brighton at Walker Stadium.

With Micky Adams’ men needing a victory to guarantee top-flight football next season, Turkey midfielder Izzet sent them on their way in the 10th minute and Stewart doubled the lead just before the break.

It also compounded the Seagulls’ troubles at the wrong end of the table, especially with chief relegation rivals Stoke ahead against Wimbledon.

Leicester have also overtaken Portsmouth at the top of Division One with the win.
