Guppy out for season after hernia op

Celtic winger Steve Guppy has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing a double hernia operation.

The former Leicester man was diagnosed with the problem at the start of this month and it was hoped the injury would settle to allow him to play for the rest of the campaign.
