Gunners missing trio

Arsenal are without Patrick Vieira, Ashley Cole and Lauren for Sunday’s Barclaycard Premiership fixture against Charlton at Highbury.

All three are suspended, although Cole has just undergone a hernia operation in any case and is set to be replaced at left-back by Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Boss Arsene Wenger will give tests to Kanu (thigh) and Oleg Luzhny (calf), although he may resist the temptation to restore Fredrik Ljungberg to the starting line-up after a persistent Achilles injury.
