Roy right to quit Republic - Stapleton

Frank Stapleton has backed Roy Keane’s decision to quit the Republic of Ireland set-up and called on fans to understand the “unseen” demands of the international game.

Keane confirmed last night that he would not be returning to the Irish fold, despite previously indicating to new manager Brian Kerr that he would come back after his World Cup walk-out last summer.
