Fowler agent rules out new City deal

Robbie Fowler’s agent has scotched rumours that the Leeds striker’s move to Manchester City could be revived.

Robbie Fowler’s agent has scotched rumours that the Leeds striker’s move to Manchester City could be revived.

Fowler’s agent George Scott told BBC Sport Online: “He (Fowler) is happy where he is.

“Leeds would consider an offer, but there hasn’t been a new offer for Robbie.”

Fowler’s proposed £7m (€10.5m) move to City collapsed earlier this month after a fee and personal terms had been agreed.

Fowler stunned City by revealing he had changed his mind and intended to stay at Elland Road.

There were suggestions that Fowler had pulled out of the move because City had attempted to re-negotiate the deal with an initial down payment followed by appearance related instalments because of apparent concerns over a hip injury which Fowler had in the summer.
