Rangers close in on Bonnissel deal
Rangers are closing in on French defender Jerome Bonnissel after the Bordeaux star jetted into Glasgow for talks.
The Scottish Premier League leaders are looking to take over the 29-year-old’s contract until the end of the season with an option for a two-year deal with no transfer fee involved.
Rangers director of football business Martin Bain said: “I’m positive we’ve made a lot of progress.
“The discussions were positive and we’ve moved a long way since our first negotiations.
“These started when we returned from Dubai and they have been fairly lengthy.
“It’s our intention to sort out the outstanding matters when Jerome finishes his medical.”
