Chris Kirkland is due to learn today whether his season was over.

The Liverpool goalkeeper has a morning appointment with doctors to determine the full extent of the damage sustained to his right knee in the first half of Liverpool’s goalless draw against Crystal Palace in the fourth round of The FA Cup at Selhurst Park.
