Cork City manager Liam Murphy has resigned following his side's failure to get into Europe.

Cork City manager Liam Murphy has resigned following his side's failure to get into Europe.

His side went down 1-0 to escape artists UCD, through an Alan Gallen goal, and lost their undefeated home record to boot.

Shamrock Rovers grabbed the European spot today as they defeated Longford Town 3-2.
