Bolton priced out of Christie chase
Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has revealed he cannot afford to sign Derby striker Malcolm Christie.
Christie has attracted interest from Middlesbrough, and Derby revealed that another Premiership club had inquired about the player.
Allardyce is known to be on the lookout for a goalscorer and admits he is a long-term admirer of the England Under-21 international.
But he told Bolton's official website: "We are interested in the player. He's a player we have admired for a long time but we haven't the funds to bring him here."
