The English Football Association today revealed that they have dealt with an unnamed player who tested positive for the banned anabolic steroid nandrolone.

The English Football Association today revealed that they have dealt with an unnamed player who tested positive for the banned anabolic steroid nandrolone.

The player, believed to be with a Third Division club, has been warned that a second offence would lead to a permanent suspension.

The FA issued a statement on www.thefa.com which read: “This case was fully investigated by The Football Association. The player was charged and suspended pending a disciplinary hearing.

“At the hearing, the player was informed that a second offence would result in a permanent suspension.

“It was also decided that the player should be subject to target testing for two years.”
